Annual field-trip visit of a Forest Service International Programs training seminar (for international cooperatives of US Government climate programs in developing countries.) Activities include reviewing, led by Sagehen director Jeff Brown, strategies for developing field stations as networked sentinel sites, setting up and managing both biological population monitoring (e.g. fish numbers and movements) and sensor networks, creating watershed partnerships and related communications strategies (with examples), and strategies for landscape management to lower risks of catastrophic wildfires. Activities include visits to facilities, instrumentation and experimental site, review of video and other communications materials, and directed discussions. This is the ninth year of this annual program.
