Our team will work on historical and recent data collections to make them more accessible to future researchers. This includes: cross-referencing bird specimen with spreadsheets for accuracy and completeness, scanning in historical correspondence that exists only in paper form, digitizing more Masters or Ph.D. theses that are not available on the UC Berkeley libraries website, digitizing hand-written data sheets (related to hydrology, fire studies, bird studies, climatology, fish and mammal data and geology), scanning old slides and photos, and brainstorming on future research questions and opportunities in data science.
